1. Grammatical pet peeve: Wrong use of expressions. It irritates me when I see bloggers and writers use expressions (or terms and phrases) that are not fitting to the thought they are trying to express. I don't know if it's just me, but it kinda screams "Trying Too Hard," IMO.
2. Household pet peeve. Cluttered bed. I can't sleep without a clear space around me. My mom and I constantly fight about this, as she is prone to leave random stuff (DVDs, nail clippers, books, etc.) on our bed.
3. Arts & Entertainment pet peeve. The way they portray women in SOME movies/tv shows. Must women be seen as simpering, helpless idiots all the time? Also, how some people automatically assume that a photographer and/or a designer is male. No I'm not a feminist. Just..an advocate of women empowerment. Hehe.
4. Liturgical pet peeve. The way churches reject, even actively oppose, artificial birth control methods. Let's face it, our country is terribly uniformed regarding sex. In some countries, parents are required to talk to their kids about sex and how they can protect themselves. In the Philippines, talking about sex is still taboo. This is a very significant flaw for an over-populated, third-world nation, and I think that the church is majorly responsible for that.
5. Wild card. It irritates me when some people imitate other people. They lift words, artworks, even opinions for chrissakes and present other's ideas as their own. Forming opinions do not require a nosebleed and I don't see how some people fail at that. It doesn't take much to know what you like and don't like. X-(
Nothing really, I guess. I just find it hard to believe in their principles. IMO, In a lot of ways I think most of them are reverse sexists (favoring women instead of men), if there is such a term. :)
